Guest Introduction

Adam Blake is Joint Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Blundstone, an iconic and fast-growing global footwear brand, based in Tasmania, Australia.

Before being appointed Joint CEO Adam was Chief Operation Officer, and previous to that the Global Head of Brand, Design, and Strategy, leading brand, marketing, corporate communications; product planning, design and, innovation and global strategy.

Previously, Adam lead the design and rollout of a business program for the Australian Government, leading a consultancy team working with Australian businesses to enhance marketplace competitiveness and value through the establishment of innovation, brand, and design capabilities and processes.

Prior to this Adam was the Director of Programs and Partnerships at the University of Technology Sydney, Creative Industries Innovation Centre, designing and scaling programs supporting creative enterprises and entrepreneurs throughout Australia.

He has held a range of senior positions in Government – including at NSW Premier's Department, and in Not For Profit organisations. He ran his own consultancy business assisting corporations to design and execute Corporate Social Responsibility strategies, and co-founding social ventures.

He is an alumnus of the Sydney Leadership program and contributing author on two publications. Over 2013 and 2014 Adam was awarded the Commonwealth Government's Excellence in Innovation Award and the Australia Day Achievement Medal.
