Carl Breau is a Canadian engineer and is the CEO of Saimen Group, a group of five Canadian and Chinese registered companies active in product engineering and contract manufacturing. Saimen intelligent manufacturing has registered companies and offices in Montreal and in China, and a factory in China. The company does technical procurement, product engineering and assembly of technical products such as electromechanical assemblies and connected devices. Its main manufactured products are LED signage systems and interactive gaming chairs and systems. Its business licenses are for product engineering, electronics manufacturing, and electromechanical manufacturing.

Starting from 1998, James has been involved with business in China. Initially working in technology development for telecommunications, James moved into the logistics sector around 2010. His work at Heighten focuses on helping SMEs access the Chinese market, whether as a buyer or a supplier. Heighten's team has excellent knowledge, experience and connections in all key aspects of import and export. Heighten has developed solutions for SMEs that take a lot of the stress and uncertainty out of dealing with China, freeing companies to focus on their core business operations.

Steve Liu joined Macquarie’s commodities team (CGM) in Shanghai a year ago, as the China Head of Commodities Finance, and is responsible for providing supply chain financing solutions for Chinese commodities producers and traders. Steve has more than 17 years of experience working in the commodities sector, with the focus on structured financing and asset investment in the energy and metals industries. Prior to joining Macquarie, Steve worked at ING Bank (Shanghai), Castleton Commodities (Shanghai), JPMorgan (US, UK, China) and Southern California Edison (US).

Terry is originally from Western Australia but moved to Canberra in 1987 to do his master’s in international law. In 1988 he joined DFAT and was posted to Japan where he spent four years as a junior diplomat. After returning to Australia, he started his own consulting and trading company and transitioned into manufacturing over a number of years, opening a timber manufacturing business in Huzhou, China in 2008. Since 2008 Terry and his wife Sonoe have been fully engaged in the daily operations of the factory, as well as managing and guiding the business through the GFC and the Covid crisis.
