Wuxi CCPIT serves as a regional branch of the national CCPIT. Established in 1985, it brings together leading individuals, enterprises, and institutions from Wuxi's economic and trade sectors to function as both a public service agency and a facilitator of international commerce.
CCPIT’s key responsibilities encompass implementing municipal development strategies while driving foreign trade, cross-border investment, and technical cooperation. The committee spearheads Wuxi’s exhibition industry development, coordinates inbound and outbound trade missions, and organises participation in global trade fairs and conferences. It actively represents business interests in policy-making, provides dispute resolution services (including commercial mediation and arbitration), and handles trade documentation such as certificates of origin. Additional services range from intellectual property support (patents and trademarks) to trade remedy assistance and professional training programs, positioning CCPIT Wuxi as a comprehensive hub for Wuxi's international business community.

主要职责是落实我市有关重大发展战略，促进对外贸易、双向投资和经济技术合作；促进全市会展业发展；接待境外高层次经贸代表团来访，组织经贸代表团出访；举办和组织企业参加经贸展览会、论坛、洽谈会及有关国际会议；在外经贸领域代言工商，参与经贸政策法规制定；开展商事调解、经贸仲裁等工作，签发和出具出口商品原产地证明书、对外贸易有关文件和单证，提供专利申请、商标注册等知识产权服务；组织产业和企业应对经贸摩擦；提供经贸信息、经贸培训等服务。

Brilliant Bay of Lake Tai, Thriving Belt of Innovation
Binhu District, often called a “shining pearl” on the shores of Lake Tai, spans 572 square kilometers, including 212 square kilometers of land and 108 kilometers of lakeshore. It comprises one town and six subdistricts, and is home to one national-level tourism resort and two provincial-level development zones, with a resident population of 600,000.
In 2024, Binhu recorded a regional GDP of 117.6 billion RMB, with a growth rate of 6.3%, leading all districts in Wuxi for the second consecutive year.

Strategic Core of the Yangtze River Delta
As a vital node in several national and regional development strategies, Binhu sits at the geometric heart of the dynamic Yangtze River Delta. It seamlessly connects Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou, and links directly to Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Anhui.
An extensive and efficient transport network, including the Lake Tai Ring Road, the Southern Su-Xi-Chang Expressway, and the Xi-Yi Expressway, runs through the district. Multiple metro lines serve the area, ensuring its full integration within the “30-minute Su-Xi-Chang traffic circle” and the “60-minute Shanghai economic circle.”

Unrivaled Natural Beauty and Cultural Heritage
Located in central Wuxi, along the northern shore of Lake Tai, Binhu is steeped in the rich legacy of “Wu culture” and plays a foundational role in Wuxi’s rise as a “trillion-RMB city.” The district boasts 90% of Wuxi’s Lake Tai shoreline. Water bodies make up 64% of its total area, and forested hills account for 92% of all urban forest land in Wuxi, forming a unique layout where “lakes and bays encircle the city, and nature flows into urban life.”
The scenic “Taihu 108 Corridor” connects stunning waterfront views, including iconic attractions such as Turtle Head Isle (Yuantouzhu), the Lingshan Grand Buddha, and Nianhuawan Town. Binhu birthed China’s deep-sea marvel Striver and the Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer. With two elite universities, 12 provincial research institutes, and eight national labs, it concentrates over 90% of Wuxi’s scientific resources, 80% along Shanshui East Road, now transforming into a "Sci-Tech Valley." Anchored by Nanquan Tech Park and University Tech Park, this corridor will host the Taihu Botanical Garden, Natural History Museum, Nanjing University’s engineering hub, and Taihu Bay Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, emerging as the Yangtze Delta’s most visible "innovation belt."
