Entrepreneurial Ecosystems Research Report Launch

AustCham Shanghai has collaborated with the University of Sydney, KPMG, and Zhejiang University, with the great support of the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations (NFACR), to conduct a 12-month research project aimed at researching Australia-China entrepreneurs and their cross-border business ecosystems.

AustCham Shanghai will host a significant launch event for the "Australia-China Entrepreneurs and Cross-Border Business Ecosystems Research" report on Friday, September 15th. The event is set to take place at the prestigious Langham Hotel in Xintiandi.

During this research initiative, we received questionnaire responses from 175 entrepreneurs of Australian and Chinese origin. Additionally, we conducted in-depth case studies on 12 entrepreneurs.

Through our research and analysis, we have delved into the business ecosystems, supply chains, novel business collaborations, and platform models established by Australia-China entrepreneurs throughout the calendar year 2022. These endeavors highlight the pivotal role they play as bridges within the Australia-China economic landscape. Furthermore, we gained insights into the operational circumstances of businesses during the past two years of pandemic conditions, reflections on family legacies, and considerations regarding corporate social responsibility.

We are thrilled to extend an invitation to you to join us at the report launch event. During this occasion, we will present the key findings of our research. Representatives from the University of Sydney, KPMG, AustCham Shanghai, and Zhejiang University will engage in discussions regarding the critical nature of these business ecosystems for Australia's expansion in China and its ability to attract desired investments from China.
