AustCham Shanghai will host the "Sustainability in Action: Climate Risk, Nature-Based Solutions and ESG Value Creation in China" ESG & Sustainability Industry Forum on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, bringing together sustainability professionals, corporate leaders and policy experts to explore the evolving ESG landscape in China and globally, and discuss how businesses and communities can respond to climate challenges, strengthen resilience and create long-term value through sustainable practices.

As climate change accelerates and environmental risks become increasingly complex, organisations and communities are facing growing challenges in managing climate impacts and enhancing resilience. Through two keynote speeches, this forum will explore climate risk management, nature-based solutions and the impacts of climate change on vulnerable groups, highlighting approaches to address emerging environmental and social challenges and advance sustainable development.

随着气候变化加速和环境风险日益复杂，企业与社会正面临气候影响管理和韧性建设方面的新挑战。本次论坛将通过两场主题演讲，围绕气候风险管理、基于自然的解决方案以及气候变化对脆弱群体的影响展开探讨，分享应对环境与社会挑战的方法，并推动可持续发展实践。

This session will explore how healthy ecosystems underpin climate resilience, economic sustainability, and community well-being. Drawing on The Nature Conservancy's work across China, the presentation will highlight how nature-based solutions are being applied to protect and restore forests, grasslands, rivers, wetlands, coastal and marine ecosystems, while generating tangible environmental and social benefits. The session will also discuss how businesses can support and integrate nature-positive approaches into their ESG strategies to create long-term value and resilience.

本场演讲将探讨健康生态系统如何为气候韧性、经济可持续发展和社区福祉提供基础支撑。结合大自然保护协会（TNC）在中国不同生态系统中的实践案例，分享基于自然的解决方案如何应用于森林、草原、河流、湿地以及海洋生态系统的保护与修复，并创造积极的环境与社会效益。同时，演讲还将探讨企业如何将自然友好型理念融入ESG战略，通过参与自然保护与恢复行动，实现长期价值创造与可持续发展。

This session will explore the impacts of global warming-induced heat risks on vulnerable groups, focusing on approaches to quantify and assess climate-related health risks. It will also discuss potential mitigation strategies and adaptation measures to enhance resilience and protect vulnerable communities in the face of increasing extreme heat events.

本场演讲将探讨全球变暖背景下高温风险对脆弱群体带来的影响，重点介绍气候相关健康风险的量化评估方法。同时，也将探讨应对极端高温事件的缓解策略与适应措施，以提升社会韧性并更好地保护易受影响群体。
