Zhaoqin James Gu is a Partner at Duan & Duan Law Firm (Sydney Office) and an Attorney at Duan & Duan's Hongqiao Office in Shanghai. He also serves as the Chief Legal Counsel for the China International Import Expo (CIIE). His practice focuses on international arbitration, outbound investment, and assisting foreign enterprises in entering the Chinese market. He specialises in intellectual property protection and compliance, helping overseas companies safeguard and commercialize their IP rights in China.

Jay Ning is the Senior Investment Director for Austrade’s Shanghai office where he specialises in advising and facilitating inward investments from East China. His experience of 15 years covers cross-border direct investment, M&A transaction as well as international trade development between Australia and China.



Jay’s clients are private and state-owned corporate groups and listed enterprises from energy and resources, agribusiness and food, infrastructure development and tourism property, manufacturing, etc.. His recent successes include working with a private renewable developer to deliver a 100MW solar plus battery storage system with supports from state government’s auction program and assisting one Chinese leading EV maker to roll out its EV product and charging solutions across Australia.



Jay has delivered investor engagement programs for numerous high-level visits since 2012. Jay started as a Business Development Manager at Austrade Shanghai with a focus on clean energy and environment industry in 2009.

宁杰先生从2012年开始负责多次双边高访中投资相关的安排，从2009年开始宁杰先生加入澳大利亚贸易委员会上海并负责清洁能源和环保行业的商务经理。
